In 2018, we were invited by Studio Eduardo Aires to embark on a thirty-day journey across Chile, to photograph the works of sculptor Vicente Gajardo scattered throughout the country. From the deserts of the north to the valleys of the south, the journey took us through the vast Atacama and into the quarries of Calama, where we photographed and filmed Muro de la Luz (Wall of Light), one of Gajardo’s most emblematic creations.
The images and recordings collected along the way later became the foundation for a book (2023) and a series of short films (2025) — works that not only celebrate the sculptor’s vision but also reflect the publication designed by Studio Eduardo Aires.
