In 2023, architect Marta Brandão of Mima Housing invited us to create a visual narrative on Granary House, a former barn recently renovated in Arouca. We embraced the challenge, seeking to capture not only the architecture but, above all, the atmosphere it inhabits — the play of light and shadow, the textures that reveal the passage of time, the surrounding flora, the dialogue with the nearby stream, and the sensory connection with the landscape.

All of this in an attempt to evoke a true sense of place.
