In 2023, architect Paula Moucheira invited us to photograph and film her work process at her family’s marble quarry in Pardais, a small village in the Alentejo region. The project, titled Formas de Pedra (Stone Forms), aims to reclaim and repurpose leftover marble blocks — fragments with no commercial value — collected from the quarry waste, transforming them into unique design objects.
